Let me see if I can remember what I am supposed to do here. I type, and then I link, and then I post? Something like that!!!
Guess what?!?!?! Mama M decided this week (which I credit to me and Kate), decided to do a Five Question Friday. And here it is, 6:33 on Friday night and I JUST remembered to do this. So let's dive in to this thing!!
1. If I had 5 minutes alone with Mother Nature I would tell her?
That she needs to make up her mind. Winter? Fine. Bring on the cold weather. That's what it is supposed to be. Kill the mosquitos, Christmas, snow, etc. But, don't go and tease us with these beautiful spring weather, temperatures, and then drop us right back down to below freezing. And then back to good, and then back to cold.
2. If you could eat only one thing for a whole week what would it be?
I do love some Peanut Butter. And bacon. And cereal. Probably cereal. I could eat it all day long, everyday. Golden Grahams, Frosted Cheerios, Frosted Glakes, mmmmm. Yes, I am very aware they are kids cereals, but I don't care. They are good!
3. What is your favorite season and why?
Spring. Despite the fact that I have horrible allergies, I love spring. Not too hot. Things are blooming, and grass is green. Old death of winter is over, and new life is beginning. Plus is baseball season~!! But, on top of that, it is my wedding anniversary. Yes, I specifically picked April because of the gorgeous weather we have then.
4. Do you have a meal that you are AMAZING at making? If so, share the recipe!
I think I do. 2 to be exact and they are SUPER easy. Because I don't make difficult things.
1)Chicken noodle soup
Boil chicken breast and shred
Add to a huge pot of chicken broth (I use canned). And when I say huge, its like 4 of the 32 oz containers. Add celery, salt, pepper, carrots, and onions. (Don't ask how much, just as much as you want). Yes, add salt. You wouldn't think you would need to with the chicken broth, but it is definitely needed.
And a pinch of parsley Simmer for a couple hours if you can. At the last minute add egg noodles, and another 32 oz of chicken broth. Amazing!!!
2)Pot Roast
In a crock pot
1 rump roast
1 packet of dry lipton onion soup mix and 1 can of cream of mushroom mixed together
red potatoes cut up
carrots cut up
1/2 onion cut up
Throw everything in the crockpot and then put the soup mixture on top of the meat.
Then the other half of the onion place directly on top of the roast, in tact.
Cook on high for at least 6 hours till meat is tender.
Even more amazing!!
5. What has changed in your life since the last 5QF? (8/2/13 was the last one! Wow...over 6 months!)
I wish I had something exciting to tell, but I don't. We traveled a couple of times, but other than that, life has just been moving along. I might have some news in a couple weeks to share, but that will have to wait!!
So come join the fun!! Here is the link to join in!! Five Question Friday!

5QF 5-10-13
Happy Friday! Only 4 more weeks of school left! Woohoo! However the month of May just might kill me before all of the end of school activities are done. Volleyball, t-ball, field trips, dance recitals, field day, Mothers Day activities at both kids school, and more! Phew!
But first things first, lets get on with this weeks 5QF! Join in on Mama M's link up! It's tons of fun!
1. What's the one personal hygiene thing you will not do in front of your spouse?
This was my question, and it started with my friend complaining about some of the personal things her husband did in front of her. She was all, aren't there some things that need to be kept secret? I mean does a husband need to see all the wife does? Does the wife need to see all the husband does? Does a man really want to see his wife with foils in her hair while she is getting her hair highlighted? Does he really want to know that she gets her upper lip waxed? I mean I think there are some things better left unknown.
So for me, first, we are a doors closed poop marriage. Poop is a privacy thing. Also, feminine hygiene items? Yup, closed door. There are a couple others that I would prefer him not to see, but these are the hardcore, no exception rules!
2. What's your favorite thing about a newborn?
Their smells, their sounds, their smiles in their sleep, their snuggles. Their poop, yes, newborn poop is ok! Ok, uterus is jumping. Time to move on to the next question.
3. When is "too young" to have a Facebook account?
To me, right now, I'm going to say 13. But, my oldest is only 7 and I can't imagine her having one, or needing one till middle school. Obviously that might change, but right now, that's what I'm thinking. Then they have a little more sense about privacy, and have learned what you do and do not put on the Internet. Learned about child molesters, etc.
4. What are your hoping for for Mother's Day?
I honestly have no idea. I would love to be able to sleep in, lay in my bed, and watch tv, sleep, read, or whatever, all day. I know that will not happen, but that is what I would love.
5. What was the best field trip you ever took in school?
5th grade, we went to a local amusement park. It was so much fun, except I puked after the tea cups. But before that, so much fun. We thought we were so cool, as only the 5th graders got to do that.

3-8-13 FQF
So, it's been a while, but I guess I might blog. No vlog tonight, face all puffy, I got lots of snot, and y'all don't want to hear any of that!
That and chocolate mousse pie :)
1. Does your family coordinate clothing for church on holidays like Easter?
My kids have similar stuff, but not too matchy matchy. I just can't do that! Hubs and I? Uh no.
2. How do you get out of a funk?
Usually I need a good laugh, or a good shopping trip, or a good drink. Sometimes just a bath will do it.
3. Online friends - real friendships or not?
I believe they are 100% real. I know many of my non social media friends, including my husband, think I am crazy. And don't understand how I can call some of these amazing women my friends, but I do. When complete strangers pray for you and your family, encourage you, support you, rejoice in your happiness, cry with you in sadness, they are friends!!
4. What is the one food you must eat in a restaurant (not make yourself)?
Hmmm. Pasta. I love love love pasta. But making it at home just doesn't cut it. That and chocolate mousse pie :)
5. What would happen in your home if you ran out of ketchup?
My husband and children might die, I would be totally fine. I only eat ketchup on hot dogs and hamburgers, and tator tots and nothing more
Ok, so join the fun at Mama M's and have some fun!!! Happy Friday!

5QF 12-7-12
Happy Friday Yall! It's Five Question Friday and that means you need to head over to Mama M's and join in the fun!
1. How many times have you moved and do you have any tips?
Well if you don't count the 17,124 apartments I lived in during college, I'm going to say 2. 1 when we bought our first house, and 1 when we moved to this house. Tips? No, I suck at packing boxes, and I always have so many things at the very end that don't go in a box, or can't fit in a box, so I end up just shoving them in my car in the front seat. Don't plan on moving again anytime soon, unless I win the Powerball, then I will hire not just a moving company to move our stuff, but a moving company who comes and packs it all up as well!
2. Do you have a budget for the holidays, or just keep sliding the credit card and have a heart attack in Jan?
I don't really have a specific budget, but I only use debit cards, no credit. That way come Dec 23rd, all of our presents are paid for, and I don't have anything to worry about later. I started that about 2 years ago, and it was the best feeling ever, knowing that come January, I wasn't going to get this huge bill to pay for everything. It made me be more aware of what I was spending, and not just grab everything I wanted. On the flip side, it also makes me go and buy things earlier, so I don't feel that rush right before Christmas. It's definitely a better situation that I used to do.
3. What is the one medical thing you avoid like the plague?
I don't really have anything that I avoid. Shots don't bother me. Procedures are usually no big deal. I've had surgeries before. I just go and do what I'm supposed to do, and get things checked out when I should.
4 What your least favorite Christmas song?
I HATE that Christmas Shoes song, Hippopotamus song, and anything by the Beach Boys. Christmas songs sung by the Beach Boys are just horrible. Oh, and Elvis. I don't like Blue Christmas. Our Christmas lights dance to music and Blue Christmas is one of them, and it makes my skin crawl each time I hear it.
5. This Christmas are you spending more, less or about the same? Why?
See question 2. Probably a little more this time, only because Love Bug is asking for a couple of more expensive items, but not much. We just will not get as many of the cheaper things.
Happy Friday yall! Tomorrow we are going to the local children's hospital for their annual Christmas celebration. It is music, lighting of the Christmas tree, fireworks, and Santa, for all the staff and their kids, but especially for those kids who will be in the hospital for Christmas. It's really neat as the kids who are able, come out and are able to press a button, that shoots off their own firework. The kids eyes light up, like nothing I have ever seen. Our good friends own the firework company, so we come and sit "backstage" and watch. It really is a neat evening for the kids. Makes you really appreciate your healthy kids, when you see the kids in wheelchairs, wagons, and some even in beds, coming outside to shoot off their own firework. Give your babies an extra hug!! And thank God they are healthy!

11/9/2012 Birth #5qf
Because one of our twitter friends had a baby this week, and we were all so excited about it, I suggested to Mama M that we have an all birth Five Question afriday. Well I guess she really liked all my questions, or nobody else remembered, so all five of these are mine, except the last one. So go link up, and enjoy the fun, and go read about others birth stories!!
1. If you had a c section do you wish you would have had a vaginal birth? Or vice versa?
1. If you had a c section do you wish you would have had a vaginal birth? Or vice versa?
I had a vaginal birth with both kids. And I am actually very glad that I didn't have to have a c section with either one. I know the recovery is a lot harder and other complications can occur.
Drug free? What the hell is that? I got drugs the minute my OB said I could have them!!! I have a really high tolerance for pain, but to me, dealing with pain when this is supposed to be the best time of your life, wasn't worth it. I wanted to be able to enjoy my labor as much as possible, all the way to the end.
After we got her head straight, my epidural wore off at that exact moment. My dr had another patient down the hall, so she went to check on her, while I got a booster of more drugs! When she came back, and 2 pushes later, she came out. She was gorgeous, perfect, and all mine!!! Well, I guess she was my husbands too, but you know!! While they were cleaning her off, she was crying, and my husband went over and started talking to her, and she calmed down and stopped crying. My sister took the most amazing shots of the two of them.
Makes me want to have another, just for that moment of birth! LOVE!
3. Did you have any complications?
I didn't really have any serious complications per se, but their were issues with each birth. With Love Bug, her head wasn't going the rigth way, so pushing wasn't doing any good. She was looking off to the side, and not up, like she was supposed to. So after an hour and a half of pushing, my OB came in and turned her head. That was actually more painful than the actual delivery. But, as soon as she did that, 2 contractions later she was out!

With Baby Bug, he did have a more significant issue. Thorough my labor, my nurse, Skipper, who was fabulous, was aware that his heart rate wasn't staying up. She had me switch sides, she adjusted the monitor, she put the head monitor on him, but his heart rate wasn't staying up. She gave me some oxygen to try and get him some more oxygen. When I was at a 10, my OB comes in, and because of the beauty of iPhone and a really cool app, she was able to monitor me and him throughout so she knew what his heart rate was doing the entire time. Anyway, she walked, in, told me and my husband, that while she knew that he wanted to cut the cord, she was going to do it because it was wrapped around his neck twice. She then told us that it "was no big deal, she cut cords every day"!!! Needless to say, we were very appreciative. :) Anyway, Baby Bug came out, grey, not breathing, and not really moving. A quick look at me and he was off to the nicu team who was waiting for him. About 30 seconds later, I hear a beautiful scream! And his 5 minute apgar was a 9!!!!
4. Who was in the delivery room with you?
Husband and sister, both times! She held my legs the first time, and was the official photographer. Second time, just photographer.
5. Did you document your labor and delivery? (Photos, videos, etc.)
Just pictures. We had a video set up the first time, on the tri pod and everything, but forgot to hit record!
6. Pick the birth story of one of your children and tell us ALLLLLLLL about it!
Since I have already basically given you Baby Bugs, I will give you Love Bugs.

Love Bug was my first pregnancy and she is the one who made me a mom. I had no issues during my pregnancy until my 3rd trimester. Throught my entire third trimester, my blood pressure had continuously gone up, and was gradually put on different "levels" of bedrest, to the point I was put on 100% bed rest. At 37 weeks 3 days, I was induced. 5am I had to arrive at the hospital because I was a medical induction. At 6:30 I got some pitocin. At 8 I got my water broken, and about 9:00 I got my epidural.
Because of my blood pressure, my nurse never left my side. Ever, except what was an obvious potty break. She was AMAZING. Her name was Skipper (yes, the very same Skipper you read about earlier. But what you may not realize, is that Baby Bug is my 2nd child. I was induced with him as well, and she just happened to be working that day, so I requested her to be my nurse again!!!)
We were trucking along, epidural working great, my parents coming in and out just to say hi. Husband's parents had driven in from Phoenix the day before to be there for the birth of their first grandchild.
By 2:00 I was at a 10 and ready to push. But of course, not before we turned on Happy Days. I'm not for sure how that all got going. I think it was a joke between my sister and my husband, because if you remember, on Friends, when Phoebe was delivering the triplets, her dr wanted Happy Days on. I think it was just a coincidence that it happened to be on tv. Obviously I wasn't paying attention much.

5QF 10-12-12
It's Friday and we have family pictures this weekend. Our first in 3 years! The weather is supposed to be great and fall like! :) Yea!! :)
So go and join Mama M's Five Question Friday fun!
1. Did you have any homecoming traditions?
It's so odd to me that people in Canada don't even know what Homecoming is. But, because it is our town's Homecoming this weekend, it brought back all kinds of high school memories.
First Friday is the day you get to wear your mum to school, and Friday night the girls take the guy to dinner and the game, and then Saturday, the guy takes the girl to dinner and the Homecoming dance.
Now, what is a mum you ask? Well, let me just show you:
(courtesy Google Images).
So mums are what the girls are given the night before, or the morning of the Homecoming game. They have mini cow bells on them, so they are crazy annoying, but so much fun. Our names, and usually our school and the year, and then all kinds of tassels, and little crafty things. If your date is someone you are dating (or the guy is hoping you will want to) it might even include a Kiss Goodnight Pull. What that is, is a little ribbon thing, and it is all bunched up. Then when you kiss goodnight, the guy is supposed to pull it while he is kissing you. When the ribbon is all stretched out, you stop kissing.
There are single, double and triple mums. Then the guys get Garters. They are mini versions that go on their arms. I really think all guys hate them! :)
2. Do you ask your spouse before spending money?
Not usually. Unless it is a big ticket item. I know how much money we have in the bank, and as long as it stays full (our definition of full) I am good. Big ticket items (birthday, Christmas presents, etc) we always talk about first.
3. If you could be famous for something what would it be?
Something worth while. A cure for a disease, or leaving a ton of money to a foundation, something meaningful for sure. Definitely not the Lindsay Lohan/Kim K. type of famous.
4. Have you ever seriously thought you were going crazy? No, thankfully I haven't. Usually I am pretty even-keeled person. I stress but just for a little while. Most of the time I stay pretty ok.
5. How do you eat your steak? Burger? (as in, well done, medium, still moo-ing...)
Burger? Done. No pink at all.
Steak, I think a thick line of pink. But no bleeding, no mooing. That is NASTY!!!
Happy Friday yall! Happy Homecoming to us! :)

Ohigosh since my last blog post so many things have happened!
Baby Bug turned 3 and had a great party at the fire station. Love Bug turned 7 and we had a great party at the bowling alley! And finally, one week at DisneyWorld! Phew! Laundry I think is caught up, and school work is caught up! And now I get to do a Five Question Friday Post!

1. What album/cd/download are you embarrassed to admit you have?
Well, last week, my husband asked me if I knew any Air Supply songs. So I started rattling them off. And when I say rattling them off, I mean singing them. And the reason he asked me is because I guess they are on tour, and he wanted to know what songs they sang, because the billboard of them showed these two rockers. I digress.
Anyway, so then I start thinking about their songs, and then well, I had to download their greatest hits album. And I might have listened to it every night this week. In fact, I might be listening to it as I type this.
I'm all out of love, I'm so lost without you........
2. What's the one thing your spouse does better than you?
Cook. He is much more creative when it comes to cooking. He is willing to try more things. I get in a serious rut and then make the same things over and over again.

3. When do you start buying Halloween Candy?
October 30th. Hopefully there is something still good left. You would think I would learn one year.
4. Family closets - Yay or nay?

4. Family closets - Yay or nay?
No way! I need everybody to have their own space! Luckily my husband and I both have our own closets as well!
5. Which home/cleaning chore do you hate the most? Why?
Scrubbing the toilets. Need I explain why?
Anyway have a great weekend! Cold front comes tonight!!
